Configuring SAP GUI Processing

The activation of the SAP GUI processing for users is controlled via table /BTI/TE_CONTROL in each satellite Development system.

An ‘Active’ entry must exist for the relevant users for the processing to occur – this is governed by the Active flag within the configuratio table.

It is possible to either:

(1) switch on ActiveControl for only certain specific users by entering their username (this is typically done during the initial implementation phase so that certain users can test the product), or
(2) to switch on ActiveControl for ALL users by maintaining an entry with a blank username.

When switching on for all users (ie 2 above) at go-live of ActiveControl – you should remove any legacy entries for individual users from the table.

!Do not add entries in /BTI/TE_CONTROL for users that do not yet have any ActiveControl authorisations assigned to them in the domain controller. Doing this will result in the users getting errors in the Development system when doing their work, and potentially being unable to save their work.
