The key steps to perform an upgrade of ActiveDiscover are summarised below:

01 Provision of ActiveDiscover Software + Software Links To request the latest version of ActiveDiscover, please email your Basis Technologies’ Customer Success Manager, or assigned Delivery consultant.
02 Delivery of License Key by Basis Technologies Once you have received the software, you will also need a License Key.
You can request this via the Basis Technologies Support Team, by providing the following information in a support ticket raised via the Support Portal :
1) Customer name
2) Central System ID
3) Central Installation Number.
4) ActiveDiscover version.
03 Review of current ActiveDiscover roles usage – and impacts of new ActiveDiscover version on existing roles Refer to Roles Matrix that should have been provided to you with the new ActiveDiscover software.
04 Central System: Apply Transports Apply Transports to your Central System in the following order:
1. Object Comparison Transport
2. ActiveDiscover Main Transport
3. ActiveDiscover Roles Transport
05 Source Systems: Apply Transports Apply Transports to all of your connected Source System in the following order:
1. Object Comparison Transport
2. ActiveDiscover Source System Transport
3. ActiveDiscover Roles Transport
06 Target Systems: Apply Transports Apply Transports to all of your connected Target System in the following order:
1. Object Comparison Transport
2. ActiveDiscover Target System Transport
3. ActiveDiscover Roles Transport
07 Check Webservice Check if you can reach your ActiveDiscover Dashboard after applying all transports
08 Install new License Key Install new License Key via ActiveDiscover Dashboard by going to Settings -> License Key
09 Reset Browser Cache Reset or Delete your Browser Cache or use Incognito Mode for a short period after the Upgrade as some functions may change and the old UI is still cached.
10 Apply new features Check out What’s New? for new features and configure them if needed
