All Meter to Cash programs are built within the Node5 Architecture framework in order to achieve performance for high volume SAP IS-Utilities customers. The Node5 Architecture enables ABAP programs such as those built for the Meter to Cash process pack to be “scaled” according to the resources available within your underlying SAP system hardware.

The Node5 Architecture has a number of SAP customers who are able to achieve “direct linear scalability” of up to 300 parallel processes. This means that 10 hour batch jobs are able to run in approximately 2 minutes.

This of course means that you must schedule your Torch programs with appropriate amounts of parallel processing.

If Meter to Cash programs are run within the batch schedule, then you can specify the amount of parallel processing directly within the variant that the Meter to Cash program is run with.
