It is important to check the volume and size of Inbound RFCs, to identify potential issues which might arise from recording unusually large objects.
The ST03 analyzers are able to provide detailed information on the Sent and Received data of RFCs.
From transaction ST03, analyze for the desired period. Start with 1 week, and look at the RFC Server Profile:
After sorting it by Received Data(Bytes), you can select the option to view the data in Excel Inplace:
The total of the combined Send and Received is to be calculated and a ratio derived against the number of calls.
This information, for the Top 30, should be analyzed to see if there are any high volume operations which can be excluded.
