Fiori / UI5 app support (beta)

Fiori / UI5 support has been added in Testimony 2.30 in a beta mode only.

The process works in the same way as it does for the rest of Testimony. You simply turn on a recording and the events that are going on in Fiori apps are automatically recorded. These Fiori application sesssions are transferred to the repository and can then be used to then be played back into a copied system. The bot will open up the same browsers as the user during the recording and validate that appropriate view transitions and the same messages appear.

The bot uses the Selenium web-driver to perform the same actions captured during the recording. This means that during the playback, the bot machines will not just have SAP GUI session windows open, but also browser sessions.

*In order to activate the Fiori beta functionality in Testimony, you must first change the general parameter FIORI_BETA to the value of “X”. In this release of Testimony, certain parameter such as this are password protected. You will not be allowed to change this parameter without the password provided to you by the implementation or support team at Basis Technologies.

!The demands on the bot in terms of CPU and memory will undoutedly increase. The exact requirements will be determined during the beta phases as this new functionality is proven.
