As a part of the Fiori beta programme for recording and playing back Fiori apps in Testimony 2.71, we have done extensive performance testing of the solution in both the recording and the playback aspects to this development.

Recording overhead

In the recording, Testimony will capture (at a client level) each Fiori event that users perform in their Fiori apps. The overhead to achieve this has been calculated at up to 15-20%. This means, for example, that if a particular action by a user that creates a Fiori UI5 event takes 1 second, then the overhead during the recording will mean this could take up to 1.2 seconds. For a beta version, we have accepted this overhead and hope that beta customers will also accept it.

Further analysis on this will take place before general availability is announced for Fiori support in order to reduce this further if possible.

Playback overhead

Additional enhancements were done in order to reduce the playback time required for Fiori app test scripts. This has been optimised as much as possible but there may be more prior to the general release announcement for Fiori.
