Support for UI5 applications

The tool is now able to detect direct changes to UI5 applications and retrieve related usage data to calculate the impact. If, for example, a support package or SAP note modifies one of your highly used standard UI5 applications, ActiveDiscover will report it. UI5 applications can also now be configured as critical objects in a landscape.

New metrics: Level and Impact Factor

For all impacted objects found during an impact analysis, ActiveDiscover now calculates two additional metrics. The Level shows how “far” the impacted object was found from the source object (how direct or indirect the impact is), and the Impact Factor metric shows how many of source objects in the change affect a particular impacted object. Both metrics are visible in the table of impacted objects.

Adjust the severity of Failure Prediction checks

It is now allowed to override the maximum severity of certain checks in the Failure Prediction analysis to customize it for your own needs. This is a landscape specific setting and is accessible on the Failure Prediction Customization tab on the landscape setup screen.

Improvements to System Comparison

Several new features have been added to the system comparison component of the tool. The analysis now leverages parallel execution (using Basis Technologies Diffuser) which comes with a significant performance improvement.
The user is now able to view active and historical system comparison runs and delete old runs. Moreover, the system comparison analysis can now compare database tables, DDIC structures, data elements and domains, in addition to programs, which was available previously.

Improved impact score calculation and summary

The impact score calculation for a change is now smarter and takes multiple impacted objects into account compared to just the top one. Additionally, the summary card on the dashboard now gives a better overview of the impact and highlights the main points that contribute to the final score.

Increase analysis level while keeping previous results

Previously, when the impact level of an analysis was increased, the previous set of results were lost and overwritten by the results on the increased level.
Now ActiveDiscover retains these and allows the results to be displayed from any level that the analysis was run on previously. This feature is accessible from the More menu on the analysis dashboard.

ActiveControl integration

ActiveDiscover can now also use an ActiveControl project as a source of a change impact analysis, compared to just business tasks before.
It is also possible now for the ActiveControl domain controller to be a different system than the ActiveDiscover central system which adds flexibility. The RFC destination for the ActiveControl domain controller can be configured in Settings / ActiveControl Integration.
