Playback Setup

Prior to the playback process starting, setup of outbound RFC must be performed. The process is made up of the following steps:

Transfer to Repository

Transfer the business transactions captured in the recording as per the normal process to the repository. The Business Transaction outbound RFC linkages will be converted to Test Script linkages. You can check these in the Test script repository linkage explorer

Add to Execution Queue

Follow the standard process

Run Outbound RFC Setup

In the Execution drawer, select “Outbound RFC Setup”. This shows all of the RFC destinations from the recording and their current status. You need to re-point these target system RFC destinations before you start the playback

Generate RFC wrappers

These should have been copied across when the target was restored from the source. If not, regenerate them in the target

Start Playback

No outbound calls will go the external systems

Review Failures

Go to the investigate screen in the normal manner. You can select an outbound RFC linkage. Review the virtualized data.
