New functionality has been incorporated to enable the creation of Transports of Copies from within the Transport Express GUI.
This allows an authorised user to select an individual or group of transports and create one or many TOCs, either in the same path or a different path, that contain all of the objects within the selected transports. This can be done across paths and systems or at an individual Transport Form or Business Task level.
The developer releases the required tasks within a transport. The user selects the appropriate Transport Forms in the Transport Express GUI and uses the create TOC function. The TOC will contain all objects in the selected transports that are in released transport tasks.
It is also possible to create ‘delta’ TOCs that only contain objects in transport tasks that have been released since the last creation of a TOC and even allows the user to select individual transport tasks to identify the objects that should be included in the TOC.
If the TOCs are being created to move developments to a quality assurance system for testing, Transport Express will automatically remove the TOC Transport Forms from the path when the original transport moves into the QA target.
A new analysis type has also been created to stop any TOCs created with this functionality moving past a configured Control Point, ensuring they cannot be approved past the appropriate point in a path.
