Replaying a script via Remote Control

Check the Setup

Remember to utilise the Remote Control functionality the following steps must be in place:

1. You must be able to logon to a bot machine or have a bot setup on your local machine
2. The bot must be active
3. The playback enhancements must be active

Starting Remote Control

Ensure that the correct script has been selected in the investiagte screen and then in the top left corner select the play button as shown in the screenshot below:

Now select the bot that should be utilised and press the select button.

Stepping through the script with Remote Control

The replay dialog script screen is now shown, as below, and the screen shows the details of the script about to be executed, in this case a logon.

Click the execute step button to execute the step. The bot will then progress the script and update any inputs. You can review the inputs with the Display Inputs button.

The step is now executed. Note how the status and result have been updated. You can now review the outputs and progress to the next step when ready.

The final step only provides the option to close the playback and you can then return to the investigate screen.

Comparing Inputs and Outputs

The Display Inputs screen shows the technical screen fields that will be updated and the data that will be input upon executing the step.

The Output Comparison screen shows the expected output on the left and the actual output after the step was executed on the right, differences are highlighted in red.
