Types of defects and how to identify them

This section takes you through some common types of Testimony defects and discusses how to categorise them and how to deal with them within your defect analysis process. Examples of the different defect types are shown.

*Since Testimony 2.40, Double Playback functionality has been introduced as a way of stripping out some of the “noise” inherent in running playbacks, especially those caused by environmental differences in the source and target systems. This significantly reduces the effort required to investigate defects caused by non-regression failures.
