To create CTMS transport forms, click on “Transport Forms” application tile and select “CTMS Transports Without Forms” tab. Once a CTMS transport path has been selected, ActiveControl will read the list of Request Id’s available in CTMS and only display Request Id’s that don’t have a corresponding ActiveControl transport form.
Clicking on “Show contents” button will display the storage and content type of the CTMS request.
Clicking on “Create CTMS Transport Form” button will create an ActiveControl transport form in a new web browser tab and automatically pre-populate the following fields.
- Request Id – Automatically created ActiveControl dummy transport request based on “Manual Activities and Non-SAP Deployments” configuration in Admin Apps -> Other Setup -> Global Options.
- Request Description – Description given to the CTMS request.
- Path – The transport path chosen after selecting “CTMS Transports Without Forms” tab.
Other mandatory and relevant fields must be maintained manually followed by saving the transport form. The newly created transport form will be placed in the respective development system’s control point based on the selected transport path. The ActiveControl change containing the CTMS transport form will then be progressed along the transport path until completion as per the standard change management process (approval, import, test sign-off).
In ‘Related Items’ tab of the transport form, the relationship between ActiveControl Request Id and the CTMS Request Id is stored under the ‘Related Cloud Transport Management Requests’ header. Additional fields related to the Request Id in CTMS is also displayed, namely Description, Created and Owner.
