Licenses will be provided by Basis Technologies typically prior to the installation in the form of a license file, which you should store somewhere safe, accessible and secure. A reissue of a new ActiveDiscover license key to our customers is part of the annual renewals process.

If you already have Diffuser and ActiveControl licences then you do not need to reapply them.

First Use in a New System

On first use of ActiveDiscover you will need to upload a license before the Web Platform can be accessed. This is done by running transaction /n/BTI/PX_LICENSE in the Central System. Select “Upload license file”, click Execute, and provide the license file:

Checking and Updating the ActiveDiscover License

The existing license key can be viewed and a new key uploaded by ActiveDiscover Administrators via the button on the Settings screen:

In the pop-up screen which is seen, you can see the existing license details and upload a new license when required:

Clicking on “Upload new license file” will bring up a standard file access window from where you can select the license file to be uploaded.

Checking and Updating the Diffuser License

You will also need to upload a Diffuser license for the Central and Source systems if they are not already present.

Use transaction /n/BTR/LICENSE:

Selecting “Install key file” and then clicking “Execute” will bring up a file selection dialog where you can locate the license key file.

For the Central System the license will have a Product ID of “PX”:
