RAG Statuses

In previous releases of ActiveControl, graphical RAG icons were seen for Risk Guard, Conflicts and DevEnforcer issues on a Business Task and Transport Form.

Over the years, many new Basis Technologies’ customers and users often queried what these icons meant, as it was not immediately apparent from the icons themselves what the RAG icons represented. The ActiveControl Web Platform reinvents these existing RAG statuses, and also introduces several new RAG statuses, as textual RAG icons.

These RAG status icons are seen at Transport Form level, as well as at rolled-up Business Task level. They are also seen on some of the list screens throughout the Web Platform.

In ActiveControl Web Platform 9.00, the following RAG statuses are seen within the Web Platform:

*It is possible for Administrators to adjust the default thresholds of Aged Transports and Dormant Transports via table /BTI/TE_CONSTT. Please refer to Aged and Dormant Change Notes for details on this.

*Feature Deactivation can be used by Administrators to globally hide certain RAG statuses where they are not relevant within a customer’s implementation of ActiveControl.

!A RAG status for “Deleted Transport” will be delivered with ActiveControl 9.10. It will not work in ActiveControl 9.00, so should not be enabled via Feature Deactivation.

* Future releases of the ActiveControl Web Platform will introduce additional RAG statuses, both for existing functionality (eg when the default Unconditional Modes have been changed on a Transport Form) and also new functionality (eg a new RAG status for the extremely popular (0060 ShiftLeft: Deep Impact Analysis check). Basis Technologies would love to hear from existing customers on additional checks and RAG statuses that they believe would add further value to the product.
