It has always been possible in ActiveControl for Administrators to present system messages to users in the WebUI, via backend table /BTI/TE_SYSMESS. This can be useful when there was a need for an ActiveControl Administrator or Basis Team to globally communicate important upcoming events that impact the usage of ActiveControl, such as system refreshes or upgrades.
Previously it wasn’t possible to create more than 1 system message in /BTI/TE_SYSMESS because start/end dates were the key in the aforementioned table. ActiveControl Web Platform 9.00 enhances this table to facilitate multiple messages being configured for the same date range, on the back of customer feedback.
ActiveControl system messages are seen via the Alerts/Notifications option in the Web Platform. It is anticipated that this will be extended in future releases of the Web Platform (for example, to notify a user when a new Approval is required by them).
