No two Basis Technologies customers implement ActiveControl in the same way. Differences in SAP system landscapes, organisational structures and SAP change and release processes mean that every Basis Technologies customer configures ActiveControl differently. There are some Features within the overall product that some customers use heavily, but that are completely irrelevant within other customer processes.

Over the years customers have requested to be able to hide some of the Features that they do not use. Within the Web Platform, this is now possible via Feature Deactivation. Administrators can deactivate certain features, screens and buttons within the product, to tailor what their users will see.

Feature Deactivation is performed via the Feature Deactivation tile within the Administration screen. These are global settings which activate or deactivate for all users.
