After installing ActiveControl in the Domain Controller and satellite systems and doing the associated preparation steps (deploying Web Platform, creation of RFCs etc), ActiveControl now needs to be configured.
The configuration of ActiveControl is performed by authorised ActiveControl Administrator(s) within the Customer organisation, typically working alongside a Basis Technologies solution consultant during the initial implementation project. The ActiveControl Administrator is a hugely important role within a Customer organisation, both during the initial implementation of ActiveControl and also during ongoing maintenance and support of ActiveControl after the initial go-live.
Configuration of ActiveControl is required in two places:
- Web Platform
- SAPGUI
Web Platform Configuration
The majority of ActiveControl configuration is performed within the Web Platform screens. This configuration is performed within the Administration screen that is accessible by authorised ActiveControl Administrators (and users with view [Y_TEUSER]-CONFIG authorisation activity).
