Adding an existing SAP Transport

There may be instances where a pre-existing SAP Transport needs to be added as an ActiveControl Transport Form. The most common scenario for this is on non-ABAP systems – where the Transport Form screen is not seen in the Development system where you create the Transport. In this instance, the Transport Form can be created from within the Web Platform.

There are two main ways to create a Transport Form for an existing SAP Transport

1) Via the Transport Form tile
2) From within an individual Business Task

Adding an existing SAP Transport via the Transport Form tile

To add an existing SAP Transport via the Transport Form tile, click on the Add button and use the “Existing Transport Request” source option.

Adding an existing SAP Transport via the Business Task

To add an existing SAP Transport via the Business Task, you must do the followingL

1) Within the Business Task, go into Edit Mode.
2) Go to the Transports subscreen
3) Click on ‘Add Existing Transport’ button

When you add an SAP Transport via the Business Task, you are adding the SAP Transport, but not creating a Transport Form for it. To create the Form, you must click on ‘Create Transport Form’ action.

*It is always to spot an SAP Transport with no Transport Form on a Business Task, as the Type and Group fields will be blank.
